Whose Vision equipment do we recommend and install?

There are many types and variances of vision equipment and software on the market, and with a wide range of price and performance.  Many end-users or integration companies select one type only and stick to this due to familiarity.  If the equipment selected is powerful – with a large vision toolkit – then this may well cover ever eventuality but it could also be an expensive overkill.  Conversely, if you are trying to create a solution with an under-performing low cost system you may end up with something that will not achieve its task objectives or you may have to redo this setup with more powerful equipment and software anyway.

In an ideal world, each vision task or project should be surveyed to determine the correct specification of the equipment AND software that is necessary for the task.
